The Outreach Intern will gain experience in; public speaking, senior social services, nutrition education, through the support of various projects within the Operations department.
On an on-call basis, responsible for all activities in the kitchen of assigned center. Prepare, hold and serve foods delivered by Loaves & Fishes central kitchen in accordance with food sanitation standards/menu instructions. Provide appealing, nutritious meals that meet high satisfaction levels of clients. Maintain high kitchen standards in sanitation and safety. Train and supervise kitchen and dining room volunteers. Responsible for preparation of bakery items for distribution including; baking products according to recipes and daily production schedule and assurance of accuracy and quality of finished products within a high volume food production environment. Responsible for cleanliness and sanitation of bakery area in compliance with food safety standards and operating procedures. May be required to assist with production of other food items as necessary.
