Meals on Wheels are available to anyone age 60 or older, regardless of income. Seniors must be homebound, unable to prepare meals on their own and be willing to receive meals for at least one full week.

Every state has a Meals on Wheels program, but a variety of nonprofit organizations provide these services. We provide Meals on Wheels service to Multnomah, Washington and Clark counties.
The overall cost of each meal is $3.95. The suggested donation for seniors over the age of 60 is $3.

Meals on Wheels People Amboy Center will move to a new location beginning in February. For more than seven years the Amboy Center has meet weekly on Wednesdays at the Countree Kitchen Restaurant. The location has been so popular, that the group of seniors who meet there have outgrown the space.
More than 2,500 holiday arrangements will be delivered to seniors, hospice patients and hospitalized children next week thanks to the generosity of Larry Teufel and Teufel Holly Farms and The Bloom Project. On Monday, Dec. 16, 1,750 arrangements will arrive at Meals on Wheels People Central Kitchen in Multnomah Village for delivery to homebound seniors by volunteers. The Bloom Project volunteers will deliver 460 arrangements to hospice patients as well as an additional 375 to Randall Children’s Hospital and Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.
Meals on Wheels People Hillsboro Center has moved to a new location at 541 SE Baseline Road. Opened in the fellowship hall of All Saints Episcopal Church in Hillsboro in 2006, the Hillsboro Center has served and delivered tens of thousands of hot meals to seniors in the Hillsboro area. The new location is in a former restaurant site and offers more visibility as well as parking.
A recently published Report to Congress titled, “Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ Evaluation of Community-Based Wellness and Prevention Programs” included findings that EnhanceFitness participants experienced statistically significant total medical savings compared to a cohort matched by age and gender. Meals on Wheels People offers an EnhanceFitness class at several of its senior nutrition sites.
