Fitness Programs

The Meals on Wheels People offers fitness programs at many of its locations.

New! Several of our centers now offer Walk With Ease, a group walking program sponsored by the Arthritis Foundation. Click here to learn more.

Some are EnhanceFitness, a senior exercise program developed in partnership with the University of Washington School of Nursing and the Seattle King County Senior Services.

The goal of the program is to improve the health of seniors with arthritis, but the exercises are appropriate for all seniors.

Other centers provide the Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program, a group exercise program developed specifically for older adults that focuses on stretching and flexibility, low-impact aerobics, strength training and balance. Both programs are led by trained fitness instructors and sessions last one hour each.
