Join us for our annual Harvest Festival & Senior Dinnerl on Monday, Oct. 15, beginning at 11 a.m.
In China, Japan, Southeast Asia and Asian communities around the world, friends and relatives gather in September to celebrate mid autumn and a successful harvest with offerings such as melons and round “moon cakes” in honor of the moon. We will bring this rich tradition to the seniors in the Portland area.
This year’s event will feature a hand-crafted five-course Chinese meal. Our festival will not only feed seniors in our neighborhood, but extend caring, friendship and a sense of community to our attendees. We will accept a $3 donation to cover some a portion of the cost of this special event. The rest of the costs are covered by our generous donor community.
